I was told to start interviewing pediatricians what kind of questions should I ask what are some things I should look for when talking to them? Ftm here thanks ladies.
My big thing is, how quickly can they get my sick child in. My dr does same day! If they're super busy its next day but never longer than that.. that's the most important for me. You should see if he's kid friendly, does he look like he likes kids? Does he look or act like he cares about your concerns. Look at his nurses also, sometimes they'll be the ones taking care of you and baby.
If u are planning to breastfeed find out what their beliefs are on it, u want a pediatrician that supports that decision. Also ask about their schooling, how long they have been practicing. Even about office hours, etc
I asked the same question a few weeks ago. Look at my discussions and there is a link to the bump.com. It really helped us when we interviewed our drs. Hope that helps
