So this is my 2nd pregnancy w/3 weeks to go that....MY ENTIRE body is ITCHY!!! Its sooo annoying and the doc didn't really have anything to say! Has anyone else had this issue????
My supervisor's daughter had some condition during pregnancy that caused severe itching...but i dont remember what it was called. It had to do with excess bile in the body i think, liver problem due to hormones.
That condition is cholestasis @2ndtimearound unfortunately I have that but not all ppl that r itchy have it u should ask ur dr. to check u for it its just a simple blood test they do to check good luck n I feel for u the itching is horrible I would bleed frm scratching
@2ndtimearound@xsuzy21x My doc mentioned that but said it had to do with the gallbladder which makes sense with the first pregnancy cuz I had issues w/my gallbladder and had it removed a few weeks after I had him......but now that I'm gallbladder-less and have the same problem she didn't seem concerned...maybe ill just take benedryll! That's safe right??
@mommyoftwoprincesses ..thanks! ill ask my doc! Did they say what it was tho? @myheartzx3 No its wierd, it feels like a rash but there isnt one and its literally my whole body...even the bottom of my feet!!
@myheartzx3 Thanks!!! I think that's what my doc mentioned, I just didn't think it applied to me cuz I had my gallbladder removed after my first son 6 yrs ago! But everything sounds like what I'm experiencing to a T!!!!!!!! Thanks again hun, I think I might call them now!
Ohh I see..maybe not then? Sorry I would hate to feel itchy..i can't stand when I get bit from an ant or misquito..this must be 100x worse! Maybe taking an oatmeal bath will temporarily give u relief lol
@myheartzx3 Well like I said everything sounds like what's going on so that may be it! I'm just trying to decide whether or not to call now b/c honestly what can they do for me?! I've tried oatmeal, it doesn't help, nothing really helps!
