NO doctors appointment??!?

Warning, bit of a rant....lol.

Okay, so I'm 38 weeks pregnant today, and this week I SHOULD have my 38 week appointment, right? Nope. At my last appointment, the check out lady said oh we'll call you monday and let you know when your appointment for your 38 week will be because we seem to be fully booked right now. hmm. So they call me and tell me my appointment is on the 30th?!! Um, I'll be 39 weeks then, its in two weeks, and I should be seen every week now!!! UGH, this makes me so mad!!! Because at my 37 week appointment, I got checked and I'm almost 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. And my nurse said at your 38 week appointment I'll check you again and strip your membranes to help labor come, which I was ALL for considering my baby is measuring big and I just wanna meet her already!!!!! And now I'm not going to even have a 38 week appointment, and I don't like that!!! I'm a ftm, and I like going to my appointments, especially if I'm going to be checked to see the progress I'm making. My original dd is actually tomorrow, (which I think is my real dd). This is one thing I hate about army hospitals, they always have scheduling problems!! Cause there are SO many pregnant women. Like a women who is 38 weeks pregnant, progressing, should be first priority for appointments!!! UGHHH.

    They schedule.my appts. Ahead too. Like in the middle of my 38w ill have my 37w appt. I'll have to talk to them about that or ill end up having my 39 and 40w appt. Past my due date.

    I would call and demand an appointment and tell them exactly what you just said here. There's a reason they want you to come in every week, right?!

    I'm with u Hun I will be having my 37 week appointment but with another doctor because mine will be out for the week and then I won't be able to be checked till 38 weeks its so annoying how docs r uuuuuuuuugggggggghhhhhhhh

    @loveourlittleone I'm going to start to call tomorrow morning, and see if they have any openings, cause I just don't feel comfortable not going to the doctors at this point! Yes! I need to be seen every week!! Its not like I'm asking for something crazy!

    Or you could make up some kind of complaint and go to l&d to get checked.

    @USMCwifemommy101107 we're stationed at Ft. Stewart, GA. I mean I love my nurse, my doctor, and the hospital is nice! Its just Tricare doesn't let anyone go off post here, unless your high risk. And troops have been coming back from deployments since March, so I guess every couple decided to get pregnant, lol. And Ft. Stewart is pretty big, so there literally are TONS of pregnant women that all have to be seen on post. Its just a pain with appointments.

    Sounds like my docs office!! Im suppoae to be doing my weekly appointments now but my doc hasnt called me let me kno when to come in. Hes alwsys busy that wgen I am there, im there for 3 mins!!
