Whay is striping thw membrain?

What is it. I kno it can make you go intp labor but how does the doctor do it?

    She takes a little stick looking thing and breaks the bag of water. It definitely sends you into labor

    She/he rubs his fingers on your cervix to try to stimulate your cervix into efacing ....they only break your water after you start having contractions if it doesn't/won't break on its own

    Oh no thats not it i2s when they just like scratch along the tge 2yo of tge cervix n aggravate it sup the body starts labour itself n the cervix starts 2 ripen, they dont like 2yo break the waters till uve reached a certain cm dilated incase.the stripping doesnt work, its safe though

    Thanks ive never heard of it before so was jus curoius. Im only 33 weeks & 2days.
