adrien is in the hospital UPDATE waiting on lab results
i took him back to the dr today because the methods to relieve his severe constipation are not working. she decided it was time to have him taken to the hospital for x rays. she was saying there could be a tummy blockage, or something about segments of his intestines didn't get proper nerve ending/connections and that's possibly why he's not able to pass bowl movements (he was born 5 weeks early and its possible his preemie status could have a role in these complications) either way, both issues require surgery. so he's already gotten the x rays and I'm just waiting to hear the results so i know what the next step is.
this is way too stressful. he spent the first 10 days of his life in the nicu and it was so difficult for me to see him like that. i thought when he came home we would be done with hospitals. i just want my baby to be healthy and ok.
i will update as soon as i know what's going on

....have they done the xrays yet?
@mommy2chris that is also something his dr brought up today. i just read about it online and it scares me
here's a link if anybody wants to read up on what adriens dr was talking about as a possible diagnosis
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hirschsprung's_disease
it describes the surgery he would need to have
at the bottom of the article
and
@tootie08
did they put your daughter to sleep for it? and how do they go in for the biopsy? through the stomach?
@mommy2chris after the biopsy your baby goes ok? or was it after the surgery that everything was better?
@tinka1326 did your friends child have the surgery or does she just get regular enemas for him?
