  • I was given cervadill before the pitocin and it softened my cervix within 4 hoursm good luck!
  • oh really ok thanks!
  • I had cervidil as well and it took about 12 hours for mine to work. They can also do a Foley catheter, which is like a balloon that can open your cervix. Will they let you move around or sit on a birth ball?
  • I had cervidill too and it took 10hrs to work. I dilated to 8cm & the decided to do a c section because my son was stuck on my pelvic bone grinding his head on it, face up and because he was a big baby. Hope you dont need a c section hun.
  • @laura536 ok think they gun check me @ 8 pm.. hopefully some progress ! no they didnt mention a exercise ball I'm jus layn here : / they thought bout doing the baloon but gun put me back on pitocin after this.
  • I got the cervidil twice, and it didn't do much until my second dose. It takes FOREVER! They let me sit on the exercise ball at the end of the second dose and that seemed like it helped a lot.
  • ohh ok .. ill ask bout that. thanks.

  • I wasn't dilated at all when I got induced. I had my first dose at midnight then again at like 4am and was dilated to a 3 I didn't feel any contractions till my water broke and that's when they started pitocin.
  • ohh ok.. I'm jus having back contractions I think. their bearable tho.. hopefully wen they check me ive made progress.. n they break my water.. urs broke on its own? @navybabyonway dang they gave u ur doses right behind each other..mine are 12hrs each
  • Yeah I got up to walk and they made me lay back down cuz her heart rate was dropping as soon as I laid down my water broke
  • I just did cervidil om saturday. I had contractions 20 mins after the put it in.
When my dr checked me I was 2cm n I went to the bathroom right after lost my plug. But yea once they did cervidil I had contractions under 5 mins apart then 2 mins apart. It takes 12 hours. Then my dr broke my water and started potocin.
  • And when the took it out I had my bloody show! I wish u a fast n easy labor like I had!
  • I had to get two of those pills and was getting the pitocin. I only dialated to 5 and ended up having a c section after all the contractions. But he was too big, he was 9lbs 11oz.
  • I had two doses 4 hours apart.. But it staryed conyractions
  • @babymamma18 wow! so update doc took out the second cervadill nothing!!!! no progress :( so they decided to try the balloon methods n as he was inserting it he broke my water!!!! ahhhh. I'm having lil contractions nothing too bad tho.. this was 8 hours ago.. hopefully my contractions pick up n I dilate!! agh. I'm tryna walk n rock n sitting on an exercise ball.. hopin for a bby tonight/ early morning tomorrow :)
  • @babymomma18 also after ur water broke how long was ur labor??
  • @pregojenn oh no! that's my fear..cuz their saying shes pretty big too !
