  • You always start the baby with breast feeding. Most moms I know try to do only breast for the first 4 to 6 weeks or so. It is supposed to be harder for them to transition back and forth between bottle and breast before then. Not speaking from experience..I have just been in the medical field for about 6 years!

  • I do not know if this helps but I know one of the bottle nipples that imitates the breat nipple is called Nuk. There may be other brands that I don't know of but that's the main one I was introduced too. Xo :)

  • If you start breastfeeding it is very time consuming and difficult at first but totally worth it after four weeks you can pump and use bottles make sure to get the right nipples so they will still use your breast when needed. After about 6 months you can switch to formula and cereals this is the recomended time frames I breastfed my daughter and yes I cried at the hospital cause I couldn't get her to latch on. But after about 2 weeks we were both pros and 4 weeks she still took a nipple and breast she would do both and still get all the benifits from breast milk way to go on the decision to breastfeed not many women do it theese day and its good for you and baby
  • They have bottles at Walmart that are closely shaped liked the breast that are suppose to help transition from breat to bottle. Not sure of the name though. Go to Walmart.com and they have them in the baby section.
  • I did both within the first 3 days and didn't have a problem it depends on ur baby
  • Breastflow bottles are great! I used them with my son and he had no problem going back and forth.
  • My son would not latch on no matter what I tried...his mouth was too little...I pumped and bottle fed him breastmilk...it helped so much when daddy could feed him while I was pumping...
  • I used bottles of breastmilk & breastfed the 1st few days & my son was able to adjust to both without a problem. I think as long as u don't give up on breastfeeding, using bottles rt away is fine. And even if ur baby rejects ur breast, its drinking the breastmilk that's the important thing. I used standard nipples & my baby used both bottles&breast.
  • @sands3 that was the bottles from walmart i was trying to think of. Just couldn't remember the name.
