Need my cervix to soften....any advice?

I have pih my doc wants to induce me but my cervix is still closed and firm. Anybody got any remedies to help this process along

Evening primrose oil is a gel capsule you can take orally or vaginally you can get Walmart,Walgreens.. anywhere.
