Yeast Infection (Question)

I have a yeast infection and my doctor told me to get Monistat 7 and only insert a small amount of the cream (about an inch worth) for 7 days and use the rest of the cream externally. Well I bought the suppositories (by mistake) instead of the cream. Does anyone know if it's safe to use the suppositories? I'm 35 weeks pregnant today.
