pain:/...labor signs?

edited September 2011 in Third Trimester
I'm 37 weeks. I have been getting lowerback and pelvic pains. I cant sleep at night. I wake up every 1 to 2 hours. And when I get up to pre at night or turn over my hips, upper inner thighs, and down there hurt. They even crack now when I get up. he's already head down and as of last week close to 8 lbs and I have a small frame. I'm 5ft 5 about but tiny. Discharge has increased. I think I'm losing my plug. No bloody show though. Labor near? I hope. No dilation as of Monday but when I got an exam it seemed different like softer lol.

  • Sounds like you're close!! I feel ya though on the pelvic pain..my twins are 6.8lbs and 6.5lbs. 13 lbs of babies is about to kill me! I want them out lol..I'm 4cm now though and 60%. I bet you'll be dilated your next exam :) I think I probably jump started mine by cleaning. Good luck! %%-
  • @spray85 at least your dilated. I wish I was
  • I'm 3cm 38 weeks feels like hell never come. I wanna progress.!
  • Sounds like u r getting close with all those symptoms :) best wishes
  • @Spray85 @mommy_erica @ginaa412 I've been getting a bunch of pressure on my whole belly today. Pressure on my pelvis. Occasional pain on my pelvic area and lower back.
  • Sounds like contractions :) can u tell if they are Braxton Hicks or true contractions? Bh are irregular and stops when walking/drinking fluids.
  • Walking doesn't help. Drinking fluids eh not really. But no dilation. @Spray85
  • Hhmmm...I'd start timing them. Especially if its keeping u awake @ night and nothing helps them. If u have a smart phone there's an app for counting contractions and it'll make the process so much easier :)
  • 33weeks3days today, pressure in my pelvic & bottom area. Generally can't sleep, always on the toilet for a couple lousy drops of urine... I swear my baby dropped & his heads in the way of my urethra! Vaginal tenderness, tons of discharge & my body. Especially my back has been cracking for weeks! Dr says the crackings due to progesterone loosening our body up for delivery, so I guess that's normal? Ugh! I'm at risk for preterm technically, so... yeah. Forgot to mention cramping & occasional but inconsistent contractions. A fingertip dialated, but cervix is long & closed? Confusing... hopefully our babies will be here soon, yours sooner than mine though.
