  • 2-4 oz? I don't think you're supposed to give just water yet, its empty calories.
  • My 3 week old drinks 3oz um I don't do water....I've wondered about that too but I don't think your supposed to. Idk

Probably about 2-3 oz formula. I think they recommend not giving water that young.
  • I don't think pure water is good for him. Well not nessicarily bad but a no no. And I breastfeed but whn I did bottle feed it was 2to 3 oz. He's at a growth spurt so it may differ. I would watch for him spitting out the bottle or slowing down noticably while eating to decide how much to feed him. Not much help ha sorry just my opinion
  • That even. Possible?
  • Thanks Ladies. No water. OK I wont :-)
He has been at constant 3oz. But I've noticed he won't get full so I give him 4 and sometimes he wants more. I don't want to over feed him and get him sick. Is
  • They will let u know when they are full. But if he's constantly spitting up he may be over indulging.
  • @Caiti5, wich leads me to another question is spitting up bad?
  • If it doesn't bother the baby no. But if they scream or cry after it could be another problem like reflux. My 4 month old spits up 2-4 times a week at most but doesn't make a sound when she does. Dr told me its ok.
