Has anyone switched their baby to similac isomil and had problems with constipation? My one month old just does not poop easily anymore. Any comments/suggestions
Yep we had that problem with my first. Best thing that worked with her was 1/2 ounce of prune juice in her bottle as told by the pediatrician until she went. I usually did it twice in one day and it worked like a charm and didn't have to do it again for a week or more
I was freaking out cause my baby hadn't gone for days so we bought the baby prune/apple juice within a few hours she went. We gave her about half an oz and boy did she go she was about a week old when she had this problem. She was on strictly breast milk but because I was on strong pain meds in the hospital it constipated her.
I switched my baby to enfamil prosobee(soy) she got a lil constipated for a couple days and I just have her some extra water in he'd bottle. That was at one month old...now her body is used to it and she poops just fine! 4 months old now.
Yes a week old....she hadn't gone for five days so I called her pediatrician and he said a Infant suppository (a piece) or small amout of prune juice. There was no way I was going to do the suppository
I switched my baby from Enfamil Newborn to Enfamil AR for her acid reflux. She had the worst constipation! I tried stomach massage, the thermometer, everything. I saw solid poops come out of my little 1 month old baby girl that hadn't come out of my 2 year old! I started adding a tablespoon of dark Karo syrup to every other bottle and it softened everything up and now she goes with out issue.
