HELP!! who has gotten prego on the mini pill??

My midwife prescribed me the mini pill because I'm breastfeeding. Well after reading about how strict you have to be with taking it, I am TERRIFIED I'm gonna eff up and get prego too soon. I don't want the depo shot, I've tried it and hated it. So have you or has anyone you know gotten prego on the mini pill?? My 6wk check up is in 2 wks and I'm debating asking for something else.

    @emy I gained 15 lbs in less than 2 months and it made me feel like a nut job. I snapped at anyone and anything all the time. I've heard that happens to a lot of ppl too.

    im doing nuvaring cause i was on it before i got pregnant (she was planned)! my doc said it was safe to use while breastfeeding. side effects are cut on supply. which hasnt happen yet and ive had it in for 2 weeks. i feel like i have more milk cause im always full. and the other side effect is swollen boobie on the baby. and my little grils boobie are not swollen at all!! i think those are 50-50 chance side effects. but the boobies will go down after breastfeeding

    Thank u for the info. That's a no no for me. Ill b actively trying to lost weight and not b so moody lol. Maybe the mini pill but I heard its not all effective. But I was wondering if taken properly will it work better

    I GOT PREGO ON THE MINI PILL!!!!! i try my best to be as blunt and forward with this medicine as i can as i see the posts come up- without sounding like a " well i got pregnant, and you will too" situation. not at all how i feel! i exclusively breastfed my daughter for 7 1/2 months. i took the mini pill longer than that. my obgyn said i should wait until i start my period after i have weened my daughter in order to start my new birth control. well when our daughter was 9 months old my husband was convinced i was pregnant. i was not. so i took 2 tests to prove him wrong...... oops! turns out i was 3 1/2 months pregnant

    Ugh, I thought I wanted to take the mini pill. I had my daughter a week ago. My husband and I arnt having sex....for a while! Lol I tore and got stitches. But at my 8 week pp appt I have to tell my doc what kind I want. I'm pumping, and I was on the pill before I got pregnant (got off pill to get pregnant). And every other type of bc I hear about gaining weight, bleeding a lot, etc. Idk what to choose cause we do not want another baby for 3 years.

    @proudmommy8789 I will ask about that! Does it ever fall out when you have sex? I've heard of that happening lol

    @survivormommie3 gah!! That's what I'm worried about! So you got prego while you were still breastfeeding??

    @cait_Septembermommy yea Idk what I'm gonna do now. If I wasn't breastfeeding I'd just go back on the regular pill. And I hate the shot and am scared of the IUD.

    @mama_kat yea that is weird!! I definitely don't trust breastfeeding alone, because I'm going back to work and because so many people told me it doesn't work. So you were good on the mini pill??

    @starrxoxo9 im from the uk so i dont know if you have it but what about the implant?? You can use it breast feeding and when its taken out its effects stop start away. so ur fertility returns and if u had any side effects they go aswell. ALso once its in, its in no need to worry

    @loobiloo22 yep we have it. Implanon or something spelled similar to that. Its my choice again after I pop out Bunny

    @beaded_bunny It was the best thing i used. i loved not worring about sickness taking a pill at x time, missing it condoms for 7 days. simple have it fitted forget about it for 3 years or less if u want it taken out

    @loobiloo22 @beaded_bunny yea I thought about that. Does it hurt when they put it in? Do they have to cut your arm open?? Sorry if I sound dumb I know nothing about it lol

    @starrxoxo9 they numb the area, inject the implant with a syringe *it leaves a little scar*, they do make a little cut when its removed but on mine she made the cut over the scar from puting it in so I only have the one scar. I'm going out on a limb and say when I get it again she will again just use the same spot. Its not noticeable

    so sorry i just saw you replied. yes i got preggo breastfeeding and on the mini pill. while i was preggo with my second i had to see a different doc and he said that i should have never been told that the mini pill was a birth control because it's not enough to be used that way

    Wonderful...i just started taking the mini pill and its turned me into a b!tch! I guess i should of went with mirena instead of the pills. =| im not looking to get pregnant for a very long time!!!

    @beaded_bunny I actually just watched the insertion and removal on YouTube lol. There were a lot of negative comments about bad side effects though. Crazy weight gain and bleeding. I'm guessing you liked it since you're getting it again??

    @survivormommie3 ugh geez I'm freaking out now.

    Dang it I miss my old pill!!! 10 yrs with no problem!! Bf is just gonna have to deal with condoms til I'm done breastfeeding!!!

    @ericak22 really?? It's not too late to try something else though. Mirena scares me, I dont like the idea of something up there all the time lol

    @starrxoxo9 if you do have side effects from the implant you can get it removed and the side effects finish straight away but id try it. i only know one person who tried it and had sideeffects out of a quite a few if that helps. im gunna have it as my next long term contraception
