  • My sister said if they break your water it hurts waaaaay more then it being natural lol
  • My doctor actually told me that When ur induced the pain is really worse then natural
  • well ive been induced twice. and it wasnt the worst.. but i would love to go naturally .. its just that sometimes the pitosin brings the contractions on faster, longer and harder.. in the begining.. so instead of slow progression it more of a quick proggression.. good luck girl .. and try not to worry bout it.. labor is hard no matter how it comes.. just keep a cool head and do what ever you can to manage the pain..
  • I was induced...I failed 3 inductions, but had my water broken on the 3rd one and had my first real contractions then too. I didn't make it past 3.5 cm and ended up with a csection. I don't have anither labor to compare it to (yet), but it was painful...just as bad as I thought a non-iduced labor would be. It was exactly what I expected from a pain standpoint...and my epidural didn't work...so I was going at it all natural as far as pain control. The only thing I wish was different was that I didn't get induced...I just waited until she came on her own...and didn't end up with a csection.
  • My doc told me that being induced is worse she won't induce me without an epidural because the contractions are so much more painful. I'm hoping to go natural but if I don't deliver by the 21 on that day I'll be induced. I'm also worried :(
  • @mRichardson2038
I have had my water broke with both my kids. I didn't feel them break it till the water came out! The labor might have lasted longer because of being induced but otherwise i didn't see a difference between both my kids. My first i was fully induced and my second i was fully ready minus my water breaking so thats just what i had to have done! Hope that helps and good luck! Plus cant be that bad since im being induced with this one again!
  • Wow Hopefully I Wont Have To Get Induced
  • @mommyy2be how is it going, I'm guessing your still pregnant, today was one of your due dates right and we are buddies for your 2nd on the 19th? I feel like my body is getting ready today for my b day baby gave me early labor symptoms. ;)
  • @fallen5 Thanks For Asking Everything Is Great But Slow How About Yu & Yep Today Was One Of The Dates Lol But No Sign Of Her Yet I Get Mild Contractions From Time To Time But Nothing To Major Dr Appt Tomorrow Last Time I Was Dilated 1 1/2cm Dilated

  • The reason labor hurts more when your induced is bc the epidoral counter.acts the pitocion. So drs will increase the amout of pain killers to stop your pain but then will need to increase the pitocion bc it slows from the pain meds. And that's also why alot of women retain water after.an induction. If you.have Netflix watch "the business of being born"
  • @mommyy2be Hope your more dialated when they check you. My next appt is Thursday and that is the first time they will check if im dialated not sure why but my doc does not check until atlest 38weeks. I hope im dialated some my contractions are not constant but they are deff getting stronger.
  • I was induced, and I don't have a "natural" labor to compare it too, but I didn't really find it that painful. My doctor gave me my epi pretty much as soon as I started pitocin, though. I can honestly say I've never felt a contraction.

Good luck, though! I'm sure you'll do fine!
  • I was induced and it went quick and I didn't find it any more painful than I did with my first. I had an epi with both labors.....I think it just depends who you ask.
  • I've had 3 natural and 2 inductions. I thought they all felt the same.
  • Mine was fine. Got my epi @ 3cm and labor start to finish was only 7hrs. I was also on pitocin but didn't find it bad. I've actually passed kidney stones that were more painful than birthing my son. He came out 6lbs 15oz on Aug 23rd :) I don't have a natural experience to compare to tho.
  • Thanks ladys im sure ill do fine I just got to get it in my head. Im a ftm so very scared.
  • U will be fine hun. It was my 1st too and it was much much easier than I thought it would be. Relax as much as u can and ur body will help u with the rest. Being tense just makes it worse. I know its hard to relax about it but it helps a ton!
  • I am a ftm and had to be induced. My suggestion is to ONLY allow an inpatient induction. They did two cervadil outpatient inductions with me. 8 hours each, contractions for 10 hours after each that were 1-2 minutes apart that didn't dialate me at all and charged 7,000 each. Inpatient I did two doses of cytotec, pitocin, and 30 hours later my beautiful was born. I waited 17 hours for an epidural, then got one. Did not feel them check me or break my water. Only pushed for 5 minutes And she was out!
  • @fallen5 Labor Dust For Us :)
  • I was induced with a cervidil a little over a week ago. I went 21 hours without pitocin but I wouldnt dialate past a 4 my contractions weren't strong enough and he wasnt in the right position to progress. I then got pitocin and waited 6 hours to see if I would progress any without a epideral. My midwife said I needed a epi cuz I was so worn out I needed to rest so I got a epi and slept for 3 hours woke up and 4 hours later had my little guy. It was a long 34 hour labor but I tried going natural. My midwife said labor is labor is labor no matter what you do. I didn't think it was bad at all. I had a good experience, sending labor dust your way.
  • With my 1st I went into labor naturally. My water broke 3 days after dd. I got epi way early, before any contractions started. That labor was 14 hrs. My 2nd was induced a week early and was only 7 hrs. I plan on being induced with this one.
