newborn bump on head.. help

My son is a week old and today I noticed a bump on the left back side of his head maybe about and inch away from the ear. He doesn't act bothered by it or anything. Does anyone know what this might be? Doctors office isn't open yet.

@homebirthadvocate I'm just now feeling it today. Is it normal that it wouldn't be noticeable for a week? and would it be on other side too?

@homebirthadvocate it is on both sides. I didn't notice cause I felt it wen he was nursing and later on I noticedit on other side. I looked it up and believe its the interior nuchal something..

My baby had the same thing, but it felt bigger on one side. Her pediatrician said it was just her bones, and now at almost 5 wks its evened out

@starrxoxo9 ya its slightly bigger on one side. That makes me feel better knowing its normal. I'm just bein a worry wart!
