start buy stuff/puttin it on layby?
im only 5weeks and today me and my partner went into target and put a $650 layby on, which included a pram, rocker, porta cot, car seat and electric steriliser :/

    That's smart I wish I wouldn't of waited as long as I did..I think I started buying at 17 weeks

    I didn't start buying anything until after I found out the gender at 20weeks..but I only bought the crib..everything else I waited until after my baby shower bcuz I got pretty much everything I needed. You should wait until after your baby shower, just my opinion. Good luck girl & Congrats on ur bundle of joy :D

    I Started Buying At 16 Weeks & After I Found Out The Gender , We Bought Everything Else . At My Shower I Got Lots Of Clothes & The Little Things.

    If I were u, having a baby shower or not, I would start buying things piece by piece. We had two showers (friend one and family one) and half our family didn't buy from the registry. We got some big items like a strolled and baby monitor and swing from friends and family, but otherwise it was mostly clothes. I wish we had budgeted better or bought stuff sooner for our baby girl bcuz although we assumed it was our responsibility to get the essentials, we spent $600 after the baby showers on essentials we didn't recieve. Start stocking up now.

    @Caiti5 i had a miscarriage in March and im afraid of havin anotha one but i still wanna be prepared and have everythin ready.

    i bought my Moses basket at 8 weeks (pink cos i loved it and I'm having a boy haha) and we bought the cot at 11 weeks and got big stuff every month when we got paid so by 25 weeks only had to get clothes :)

    I started buying stuff pretty early as well. I also had a previous miscarriage, so I kept receipts. I couldn't wait. Lol Congrats on Ur bfp

    I'm 8weeks and just put my car seat on layby. Getting a pram when I'm 12weeks and prob putting a cot on layby at 18weeks. I've also bought car shades, breast pads, baby shampoo, baby bath lotion, baby moisturiser, cotton wool, bum wipes, and my sister got me a rubber ducky and an outfit and my mil got me a few white jump suits. A bit early so I'm slowing it down now lol. But its so much easier to buy over a long period.

    Oh I'm sorry about the loss. Good luck! My second pregnancy ended great! U have a healthy 4 month old now...but I didn't get a lot of her stuff till super late and felt rushed!
