  • Your going to get a lot of opinions hun.

But mine, baby will come when baby wants to. Usually trying to start labor doesn't do anything. Imo. You don't want to do anything to drastic and stress the baby out.

Id only suggest walking, sex, and bouncing on the ball.
  • right i wouldn't wanna stress my baby out.....do u know anything about the whole development after 37wks with the brain and lungs
  • imo you can try and try to get baby out but nothing ain't going to work unless baby is ready, walking and bouncing on ball is good for you any way has exercise and apprently makes baby go down i think it just helps them but don't actually start labor if you get what I'm tryin to say?

  • When I get to 37 weeks I'm going to bounce on an exercise ball and walk and have sex all day every day lol I'm not going to try castor oil or labor cake or anything though
  • I'm 37w4d and I'm doing things to help. I bounce on my ball, have sex, walk, drink rasp leaf tea, eat fresh pineapple, and take evening primrose oil but as for castor oil and labor cake, that stuff I will be avoiding. I want him to stay as long as he needs to but I would still like to help the process. These things aren't going to induce labor! Imo I don't see anything wrong :)
  • Self induction methods usually don't work unless your body is ready. I'd say stick to good old walking, sex, and bouncing on a ball. Evening primrose oil can help your cervix get ready. Get the OK from your doctor.
  • @2ndbutfirst @samiuk yea i think that's what ill do i just walk sex and the ball @homebirthadvocate thanks for the break down it helped : -) @pawgio year none of that for me either i herd castor oil makes u uncontrolable on the toilet eeeewwww but yes only natural stuff @loveourlittleone @stbmilitarybrat what do you do with the primrose oil and is that natural
  • @paige11 I'm kind of in the same boat! I'm torn between my mom leaving for kuwait for a year and her being here for the birth of my first born. I'll be 37 weeks measuring 38. I dont want to force him out but I dont want her to miss it either :(
  • Primrose oil can be taken orally and inserted vaginally. It helps your cervix soften and get ready. You can find it on the vitamin aisle.
  • @loveourlittleone o okay did your doc say it was okay
  • @kaykes yea i feel you but no matter what babies development comes 1st i wouldn't know wat to do if my mom wasn't gone b here just walk a lot, sex, ball, etc have u been checked or had any contractions?
  • I'm soft but not dilated :(
  • @_kaykes welp get to walkin boo
  • I'm bouncing as I type lol
  • lol haha get it get it ..... get it girl
