While pumping, a squirt of blood came out of my nipple. I stopped and checked my boob, it wasnt bleeding. So it came from the inside,b should I be worried?
Surprisingly, a small amount of blood in milk is actually a very common condition, except most women do not notice it unless they see it in pumped milk or through the pump itself. It usually has to do with the increased blood supply to the breast due to nursing. It may also be due to some slight trauma to the nipple/breast from the pump. Make sure your pump is at a comfortable suction level and speed. It should stop in a couple of days. @snreda
