edited March 2011 in Pregnant
I'm constently waking up every 2 hours to toss and turn. I sleep with a body pillow inbetween my legs, and trying to unwrap myself and roll over n putting the pillow back is a lot of work! and it doesn't help that when I do roll over it hurts my stomache. anyone have any advice?? I need a full nights sleep.

  • I have the same problem. Plus I wake up every hour to pee.
  • I have the same problem.. its killing me I'm so shattered and nothing I've tried yet seems to work :-(
  • I do too. My mom said to stay awake until you're exhausted, like watch another tv show or read a book, and then go to sleep, at least it will help you stay asleep a little longer. It's not a full night sleep but it is better than sleeping in spurts abstract then fighting to yet back to sleep. Oh, and get a nightlight for the bathroom, if you keep the light minimal for the bathroom trips it will help you get back to sleep sooner.
  • I have the same problem. I toss and turn all night long and get up to go to the bathroom several times throughout the night. I just can't seem to get comfortable no matter what I do. I feel bad for my fiance because every time I move or get up, he asks me if I'm ok so he isn't getting much sleep either.
  • I purposely wake up at 7 am and stay up with no naps until i pass out. But i still toss N turn, wake up a few times in the middle of the night, and neither laying on my sides or back helps, just on my belly. Im glad im not that far along so that i can. However, since i found out i was pregnant, i cant recollect any dreams ? Not even one. One night i was crying in my sleep and didnt know why ??

  • ask your dr but mine said it's ok to take tylenol pm or benadryl before bed to help you fall asleep and get a better night of sleep. i was having problems sleeping for a couple weeks and that is what he suggested.
