transverse baby?

edited September 2011 in Third Trimester
So I'm 8 months tomorrow & I had another ultrasound a few weeks ago. This stubborn little girl is transverse (sideways) when she shpuld be head down already! Doc said I have about 3 weeks for her to turn then discuss c section . Oh hell no! I'm due 11-11-11 and its veterans day & since my Dads not here anymore & he's a veteran I'm certain she'll come that day! My doc said she didn't know of any exercises to make the baby turn but I think she's full of it & thinks a c section is an easy way out (wrong!) Anyone have any advice or am I just being paranoid?

A website I did find is spinning babies, talks aboutt how to get them to turn. If I find more info I will let u know. GL our dd r almost the same mine is 14th but am being induced on the 31st of Oct.

  • Sorry for alll the post stupid phone
  • Mine did that! Right before I had her. Get on all fours and also what really works is frozen peas or tater tots (anything frozen) on the top of your belly by your ribs then put music by your pelvis.
  • I am 37w 3d n my lil lady is transverse as well, my doc scheduled my c section but hasn't given up hope just yet! She has 13 days to turn lol! part of the issue with being transverse is baby doesn't push on your cervix to help u dilate! I was given some advice by some other lady's on here to try spinningbabies.com or something like that google it n im sure u will find it
  • I've read online there are ways to move baby. One is have frozen item placed on the top of your bump and have like a heating pad or warm wash rag on the bottom of the bump. Also if you get on an exercise ball and lightly bounce on it baby should settle into your pelvis.
  • I was a transverse and was delivered naturally. Don't worry I'm sure ur little one will get herself into position:) good luck
