My son is a wk old. He's very gassy. Only passes a bowel movement every other day and only once on the those days. He seems like he gets occassionally fussy and hiccups a ton after and seems uncomfortable
No. The definition of an allergy is An abnormally high immunologic sensitivity to certain stimuli such as drugs, foods, environmental irritants, microorganisms, or physical conditions, such as temperature extremes. These stimuli act as antigens, provoking an immunological response involving the release of inflammatory substances, such as histamine, in the body. Allergies may be innate or acquired in genetically predisposed individuals. Common symptoms include sneezing, itching, and skin rashes, though in some individuals symptoms can be severe.
Most people think I'm crazy when I say this but its true. Human milk is for humans, cow milk is for cows. Our bodys were not designed to properly digest cows milk and it is why a lot of us are lactose intolerant. The proteins in formula are difficult for babies to digest and it causes gas, constipation, and pain. Unfortunately formula is milk based. I would recommend a soy based milk if you are unable to breastfeed
Hiccups tend to be more likely to be a baby with reflux. Its very normal for a baby to take a few days to go... My little girl has reflux very bad. she Hiccups all the time whilst being very gassy and seeming uncomfortable. not sayin he has. but bare it in mind...
