He kept all the money?!?!?
ok so here it goes i just feel like i gotta yell before i snap on this guy...........
start from the beginning my hubbys cousin needed a room mate or for someone to rent his house out bc he was going thru a divorce and couldnt keep up with the payments so since we at that time were apartment hunting it sounded like a great idea to move in......he lives an hour away and rent out here is very cheap compared to the rates to where we live....i think what we pay out here for a studio is like what we pay out there for a HOUSE.......So we move in...being that its an hour away and i wansnt making much at my job prior to the move it wasnt even worth me trying to keep my job i think i would work to pretty much just put gas in my car and to pay for the kids daycare....so i resigned from my job.....(i secretly wanted to do it sooner)........................ok fast forward to the present....(6mts later) well his cousin told us he wanted to raise the rent on us because he needed to do repairs to the house......first of all these repairs are things that were NOT damaged by us his bathroom floor tile was broken and he said he was finally going to fix it and that he needed to add more rocks to the garden and fix the hole in the wall<-----which he was supposed to do when we first moved in Tell me why we should pay him to fix HIS house?!?!?!?! Ummm NO i do not think so we have been house hunting for like 1 month actively to something a bit closer to his job and something to finally call our own and hubby's cousin has been aware of that and that our stay isnt permanent obviously and that we plan on moving by december the latest......ok fast forward to yesterday....I am home alone with my boys everyday and no one visits me bc i live far so i dont expect any company coming without calling so i never answer the door when anyone knocks for the reason that i know if anyone was to come they would call first......whoever came left an envelope in the door...no name or anything so i open it.......Its a collection letter for past due mortgage?!?!?! WTH I dunno y he wouldn't pay his mortgage if were paying him?!?! I feel like we have been taken advantage of.... im glad we didnt give in to him raising the rent!!! But now i know that he might be getting into trouble bc the city just found out that hes been renting out the house and he has to pay some type of fee now for every adult in the household.....guess what were not paying it!!! And were not going to pay him anymore either!!! now we have to save $$ to find a new place bc who knows how long until they take his house.....hubby sez we should move in w his mom?? OMG i know its temporary for liek a few months but Dammit i only like this lady from a distance.....i dont know what to do and his cousin doesnt know that we know he aint paying his mortgage but i feel like going offf on him!! couldnt he waited until we were ready to move out!?!?!? ugh stresss again........great right before the freaken holidays and were waiting to pay off one more of hubys debt to be able to be approved for a loan for a house and just so much going on at once now and i know hubby is stressed and i hate to add onto his stress but i cant help it and vent out about his cousin to him.......i guess were gonna have to put ttc off for a bit bc with this stress it aint going to happen lol ugh!! ok vent over thanks for reading and vent with me if u need to or give me advice if u know of anything
