contractions only on one side??

Just wondering if it is possible to only feell contractions on one side of my belly? Every couple of minutes I've been having really sharp pains on the left side of my stomach. Walking and/or sitting down hasn't made them go away. Being as I have never gone into labor on my own I was wondering if this could be the real deal or am I just experiencing some rather painful and annoying braxton hicks... any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Btw I'm 35+3

I'm not completely sure but I think it would just be ligament pains. I asked my doctor about it at 34 weeks n that's her answer. Now I'm 39 and my contractions go around my lower stomach back and thighs. "/ good luck!

You can have contractions on one side .... its called ireetable uterus..mention it to you doctor, there are other symptoms you have to have in order to be diagnosed with it.

Dr said it's most likely ligament stretching. She told me to go home and lay down if it gets worse she said to call back. Thanks for your input.
