I am 40 weeks today and had my membrane sweep 1.5 hours ago. Within half hour lost my mucus plug and having mild contractions. Midwife said am 2cm dialated and effaced and very favourable. she could feel baby head! I am hoping my baby girl may be on her way!! So exciting just hope it carries on and doesn't stop! X

Walk to help things get started....that's what I did after I had my membrane sweep, my daughter came the next day. Good luck!

Thanks everyone! Still having mild contractions and got killer backache so hoping to build on that. Been trying to walk about keeping busy and bouncing on gym ball to keep it going but am off to bed now. Labour dust to everyone who wants it! X
