My contractions felt like very strong menstrual cramps. They would get strong then ease up but the ache was always there. I didnt feel pressure until I was transitioning but some women do feel lots of pressure.
Pre-labor felt like menstrual cramps and back ache...active labor contractions started in my lower abdomen and were like dreadful cramps and backache. As I progressed more they happened in my entire abdomen, but I had an intense burning/pain sensation in my hips and back. Real contractions are typically like clock work. They will be regular (every 20,15,10,5,3 mins). They will start out farther apart and last only a shorter time, then progressively get closer together, strong, and last longer. I would call to are if they want you to come in.
