Acid Reflux Question

My baby girl has been projectile vomitting after every feeding & then crying because she's still hungry, even after finishing a whole 4 oz. I really don't know what to do! She's 7 weeks old today and this is the first time her reflux has been this bad, like she'd projectile vomit occasionally so my husband and I took her to the hospital when she was 11 days I believe & that's when we found out she had reflux. They just told us to feed her sittng up, burp her after every ounce, & sit her up for 30 minutes after feedings so that's what I do & she's been completely fine, never a tummy ache or projectile vomitting or anything since & then all of a sudden yesterday she was projectile vomitting after every feeding! I don't understand :/

She's on enfamil ar and has been completely fine.

    My son is 7the weeks yesterday...Dr put him on zantac...I would definitely follow up with your pediatrician ...alot of tines the er tells u what to do to temporarily make things better ...but call your dr!!! If she keeps doing that she will lose weight too.

    Definitely see baby doc..she probably needs meds at this point. I was told to let my son sleep in swing or carseat..they also put him on zantac.

    Oh...and I was also told to try burping before feeding to get rid of any trapped air..that might help a little..good luck

    @Mnbaby3 dr told me same he sleeps in swing next to my bed!!

    @augustbaby yep same here..he has been sleeping much better since we put him in his swing at night and started the meds. I just feel so bad for him :- ( wish I could take it away for him

    @Mnbaby3 I agree! The only thing that I don't like about swing is he is very gassy and only passes gasses when he lays flat n stretches legs...so he wakes me up gassy n goes back to sleep ...then wakes up to eat!! We do the bicycle legs and all that but he's just very gassy!

    @augustbaby have you tried mylicon drops or gripe water for the gas? Give that a try and see if it helps..

    @mommyof2naugust just thought of something else..is she drinking too fast? Like are you using a slow or fast flo nipple..or does she seem to be sucking a lot of air when she eats?

    My son was put on zantac...and a formula called similac alimentum it comes in a purple can...its expensive but it worked so good for my lil guy! Good luck!

    Thank you so much ladies! :) So that's normal for her to just have a bad day all of a sudden like that? I will def be talking to her pediatrician about putting her on Zantac & maybe switching her formula. Thanks so much! :D

    I'm going through the same thing.. except mine doesn't vomit all the time she tries n it goes right back dwn n she swallows it ..looks painful n uncomfortable..I'm taking her in tomorrow..

    @mnbaby3 my baby eats soooo fast !!!! u can hear the food hittkn her stomach!! n she has the slow flow bottles !! imma get her new ones tomorrow though.. u think that can cause acid reflux too!!??
