They took me off of depo because they though I had stopped ovulating permanantly. I didnt have a period for about 3 years and really didnt get one before this pregnancy (1 year after being taken off of it) I dont know if its b/c of the shot but my weight was always high and I couldnt lose any at all and then I got off and started losing. I am now 39w pregnant and 5 pounds less then I was before I was pregnant.
everyting was fine w/ until i got off of it. my weight went up and i've been off of it is feb 2009 didn't have a natural af until the month after i gave birth. while on it i only had 1 period and that was the first month
I used it twice workd really well an no periods did give me headaches an weight gain I'm thinkn bout it after this baby cuz it does work really well but idk yet .
I didn't have the weight problem but I did have a problem getting pregnant with my second baby. I was only on the depo for 1 1/2 yes but it took me 1yr to start my period after getting off the depo. And 2 yrs after that to get pregnant I wouldn't recommend it!
I was on it in high school and would randomly start bleeding. Have sex...bleed...run...bleed..Play DDR(lol)..bleed. I also got on it after my second baby hoping after being off of it for so many years things would be different. I still would bleed all the time and I ended up gaining a bunch of weight. I am going with the that birth control chip thing they put in your arm that lasts 3 years.
I used depo for a year and a half.. I would bleed for a month every two months.. I would lose weight and get sick during the month I bled.. So I switched to mirena and loved it
