worst bath time ever!!!

Omg tonight was awful!! I gave my daughter her bedtime bath and she HATES baths! She loves her hair being washed because I hold her and wash it above the tub or the sink but as soon as u lay her in the tub she's livid! Well tonight she was pissed! Not only did she scream while washing her hair, which is the first time ever, but she was beyond furious when I put her in the tub. I tried my best to get her scrubbed up and out but it proved pointless. She had been having trouble pooping today...well needless to say, she screamed it out...so now I had an almost clean pissed baby now covered in shit water. Omg! So I had to get her out and shower her off. God it was awful! Then she screamed thru her lotioning.

But I made it up to her with cuddles and lullabies and now she's sound asleep :)

    It will get better.....my son hated it also!!! Use an extra washcloth ...keep it across her and keep putting water on it...will help keep her warmer! Helps keep him calm ..by his 3rd or 4th bath he got better!

    My baby cried at first. But I made her water warmer than a baby should like it (just like her parents) and she hasn't cried since.

    ugh she hates them no matter what. ive tried making it warmer, and adding a towel to the bottom,and laying washclothes over her. our bathroom is also super warm because we have a warm air fan in our ceiling. she just hates them. shes almost 5 weeks old and she gets baths every other day.

    :( I'm sorry. Hopefully she gets used to it or you find a technique that works. Is there anyway you could bathe with her? Like lay her on your chest and wash her back, then lay her on your legs and wash her tummy.

    ya ive been wanting to try that, but idk how id accomplish getting both of us out and dried and dressed without it being a huge hassle...

    Set her bouncy seat on the bathroom floor with her towel in it...when you are all done in bath/shower set her on towel in bouncy and wrap her up...jump out and wrap yourself....I was a single mom if two and the three of us always showered together...lol I had to figure out something lol

    okay im going to tell you what happened to me last night! so i toke a bubble bath with my little one and she loved it and calmed down i was going crazy lol. after we were done i wraped her up and put her in the middle of my bed. well i wasnt dry and i soaked the bathroom floor and i forgot and busted my ass!! thank god i didnt have the baby in my arms!! but after i got over the shock! i started laughing at myself!! but im still going ot take baths with her when shes fussy! i went out and bought a rug lmao
