looooong time waiting.

I had my first midwife appointment today after a 4 week wait. I'm approx 11 weeks. I have been given a date for our first scan, but its another 3 weeks away. I am so inpatient and was hoping for something sooner. How long did you have to wait for first scan and how did you pass the time? Feel like I can't think of anything else! Just want to know my baby is there and finally be given a def due date. We want to keep it quiet until then to be sure but I may actually explode!

    we didn't have ours til 18 weeks.

    That makes me feel a lot better :) I have just been reading about people having scans at 8 weeks and feeling like I'm missing out somehow. and its so hard keeping it secret. We have told immediate family and our closest friends but want none else to know until the scan. But good things come to those who wait etc etc.....:)
