My babies 5 weeks an...

He hasnt pooped in over 24 hours is this normal? He is exclusively breastfed not sure if that makes a difference. He keeps tootin but no poop, he isnt fussy so not sure if I should be worried or what I should do.

    I ff but my son can go a day without pooing.

    Its normal for bf babies to go without pooping for a few days.

    My bby is that way too since birth.... Dr recommend Glycerine suppositories over the counter.... Momma, I recommend them!! Bby poops in less than a minute!! And bby will feel more relieved!

    Its normal for breastfed babies to go a few days without pooping. The breastmilk is so efficiently digested the babycan use it all. As long as he is still producing wet diapers your fine

    @mrswright my doc said anything over 3 days is cause for concern. They also recommended to me to give 2 tabelspoons karo syrup in 2oz breastmilk or formula to help with pooping. I didn't need to do it (of course he pooped after talking to doc lol) so idk how well it works.

    That's weird my babys ped told me bf babies always have poopy diapers, like every diaper change. My son poops with just about every diaper change. I had to ask his doc cause he was getting diaper rash from it.

    I have the same thing happening with my son. I breastfeed him exclusively & he used to poop after every feeding practically but now hes 4 weeks old & hes been goin like once a day or even sometimes every other day, but when he does go he really goes!!! lol. I havent gotten to ask his dr about it yet( his appt is mon) but I read that this is common for breastfed babies at this age.

    EBF can be up to, but no longer than 5 days. Or maybe its 3. Call the pedii.
