Cant he just take her? advice needed

edited October 2011 in Third Trimester
Hi preglies. I need some advice. I'm 37+2. I have gestational diabetes and he thinks the onset of pre-e. He took blood work Monday and I did the 24 hour urine test. The results will be in Thursday at my next appointment. So anyways, at my last 2 appointments I've had protein in my urine and my blood pressure has been elevated. So I've been on bed rest and monitoring my BP at home. I just now realized I haven't felt baby move today so I played a toy she always responds to. Nothing. I finally got her to move but it was little movement and only when I pat or shake my belly. My blood pressure has also been elevated the last few times. Just took it and it was 138/86. (He said call if it was 140/80 and go to.hospital if it was 150/90). I have always had perfect 120/70 BP.

Does he lack of movement have to do with my high BP? Should I call? Why can't he just induce and take her? the lack of movement,BP, and other stuff is making me paranoid. I just want her out already. He talked last week of inducing early but my cervix didn't change this week so idk what his plan is anymore.

  • Call or go in ASAP... The lack of movement is main priority and your BP is high.. If it was me I would be going in just to know things are ok...
  • Go! Get to a hospital... lack of movement all day means go get checked!
  • Go to the hospital!!
  • I would just go to the hospital say you had low fetal movement so they will monitor the baby and let them know what your BP was at home.

  • Thanks everyone. I'm so over this pregnancy and all the back and forth of inducing, no inducing.. GD & pre-e & bedrest and now BP. Ughhhh. Come on baby! Ill update you guys later.

@2beforgotten that's exactly what I'm.thinking!! At my 36 week appointment he said "the longer we keep at GD baby in the more chance of something going wrong so depending on cervix changes we will induce around 37 or 38 weeks". At my 37 week appt he said "we need to keep her in for as long as possible." I'm so confused by that. Wtf??

@2beforgotten His reasoning for the need of cervix changing is if I change some on my own it will make the labor process less painful. Really.. he's worries about labor pain? Of course its gonna be painful. Just get this baby out healthy!

Depending on what the blood work and urine results are and what he says his next step is I'm going to just flat out tell him I'd prefer for him to go.ahead and induce to get her out. Of course I'm anxious for her to be here but with GD & BP and maybe pre-e I'd feel better with her out. @2beforgotten
  • omg i hope u went in and whatever happens keep us updated i hope both you and the baby are okay :)
  • take her!!!!!!!!!
