insurance for baby

Did all of you guys get insurance for the baby yet? I haven't and I am starting to get extremely stressed over it. I am due inn 3 weeks and I still have to try and get him on medicade :( I'm so stressed cause he's gonna need it for drs appt after he's born and I don't know how to get him a Dr since he doesn't have insurance yet and I'm ready to just cry.

    My baby is automatically on insurance as soon as i had her and will be until shes 1

    Yes they will use your card until baby has a birth cert. Ssn etc. Once you get all that info he/she will get there own card but don't stress baby will be covered! Call your insurance place if nothing else.

    I'm on my step dads insurance tho and baby would be covered. How did she get insurance right away? Did you apply for it?

    My son is covered automatically until 6 months. They need to wait for baby to get birth certificate and social security card before they can be fully added. That's y they give u some time, don't worry ur baby is covered :)

    I'm on my mom's insurance and they cover the baby for the first 30 days automatically. I didn't have to apply or anything they just made a copy of my insurance card when I took him to the doctors!

    Oh good I'm starting to be pretty freaked out and scared about everything! It just doesnt feel real.I know its real but its just crazy that its not going to be just me soon. Is anyone else getting scared?

    Just call your insurance company and ask them their policy and whatever questions you may have. My daughter was automatically on mine and just uses my insurance card and she is 5 months.

    For medicaid it will go to the baby once they are born but you wont have card for him.for a few weeks. When you take him to the doc tell them the card hasnt arrived. They will still see him.

    U may want to call soon. I didn't know and luckily called. I had to add my baby to my policy by 16 weeks pregnant or he wasn't covered. Ugh but that was for my hubbys work insurance

    I've got medicaid and the baby's covered for first 30 days on your policy but they need their own application/policy once they have their birth certificate. It's a PITA to be honest bc the worker I saw has a child support soap box and keeps trying to force me to take my fiance to court for child support...he fully supports us (minus health insurance obv) why would I do that?! Sheesh.

    Im also included in my stepdad's insurance... I had to apply for medi-cal cuz grand kids arent covered by his insurance... But I think a social worker will help u on that when u give birth... Just state your case.. If baby isnt covered by your insurance, he should be covered under medicaid/medical...

    Are yuu's in America? Over the baby is automatical covered by our Medicare before yuu get the birth cert and when yuu get the birth cert yuu just goin into their office and they put the babys name on yuur card.
