Not sure how much since I strictly breastfeed and go off of weight gain and wet diapers to know he is getting enough... and judging by his chunky self I'm pretty sure he is getting enough lol. He breastfeeds every two or three hours. Ten to 20 minutes at a time. The longer he eats the longer he goes inbetween the feedings.
My son was 3wks monday he eats about 4oz every 3-4 hrs. Babies this age should drink 30oz in a 24 hr period. You can also go by an ounce an hour but that can get changed up sometimes..
My baby will be 3 weeks old tmr. I had been giving him 3oz every 2-3 hours but his nutritionist told me that was too much for his tiny stomach and told me to only give him 2 1/2 oz at the most right now
@littlefae yup yup how big was your baby at birth and now if you know? You said he's a chunky butt just wondering how chunky lol. My girl was 7pounds 12 ounces at birth and at her 2 week check up she was 8 even yesterday she was 8 pounds 8 ounces
@Chelcie89 he was 7 pounds 6oz at birth, left the hospital with him at 6 pounds 14oz. He lost a little more weight, I had trouble breastfeeding the first few days and had to have a LC come to my home. But after that he has been putting on the weight. At his first visit he was back up to 6 pounds 15oz (this was his five day check up) then we did a weight check four days later and he was back up to his birth weight. And then four days later did another weight check and he was 7 pounds 12oz lol. I don't know where he is at now. Its been 7 days since his last check and he won't be weighed again until his two months but he has out grown his NB diapers and today I couldn't squeez him into his NB onsies any more lol he has chubby roles and fat cheeks now. @littlefae Awww too cute my little girl still fits in newborn diapers but I'm about to move her to to1's once I run out of this pack of newborns.. and she still fits most newborn clothes but some are too small and some swallow her lol
