induction ?

I see a lot of ladies being induced but not for medical reasons more like just because..so my question is you can asked to be induced before your dd? At how many weeks? & will any doc do it or certain ones? Btw I'm 37 weeks

    I'm getting induced Wednesday which is only 2 days before my due date bc my husband has to go back overseas and we want him to be here...as long as everything looks healthy with the baby I don't see a problem with it but I wouldn't have chose to do this with no reason...I think u can start to talk to ur Dr around 38 weeks but mine said she wouldn't do it anything less than 39 weeks bc the estimated due date can be 2 weeks off which would put my little guy at 37 weeks minimum...good luck though and congrats!

    I was gonna ask to b induced b cuz we have one car right now and hubby works 25 mins away.and im at hme by myself during the day. If i did go into labor he would have to drive 25 mins hme to get me then we would drive 30-35
    Mins to the hospital and he plans on taking a 7 day vacation when the baby gets here.. i dnt wanna sound selfish b cuz i want my baby here now..just dnt wanna end up at the other hospital thats closer to here b cuz they dnt accept my insurance and i would have to pay

    Yup 39 weeks I asked lol I wanna be induced so I can have her on Halloween lol they said nope but I may have to have a planned c section if the external version doesn't flip her
