Bed Rest? HELP! (long)

edited October 2011 in Pregnant
Ok. Here's the deal. I have a major bleeding disorder that prevents me from getting an epi or c section. And I am allergic to pain medication. So. Needless to say, my labor will be all natural. (which doesn't bother me too bad). BUT. my whole pregnancy this baby has measured 4 to 6 weeks bigger than usual. (no it is not possible that I am farther along, at the time my hubby and I were over 300 miles apart except for the conception weekend). Anyways. So the plan was to induce as soon as possible. Well my doc hasn't been in the office on my app days and I haven't been able to talk to him about it. At the same time my blood pressure has been getting up to 170/101 landing me in the hospital. The emergency room put me on bed rest. Here's the issue. MY BABY IS ONLY GONNA GET BIGGER AND MY BP IS ONLY GONNA GET HIGHER UNTIL I HAVE THIS BABY! I am 37 weeks... And frankly don't feel like waiting until my doctor feels like showing up at work sometime this year... Ugh ladies what do I do? If I have a c section I risk my self greatly bleeding to death. But at this rate my baby isn't going to fit! And with no pain mess is going to ne even more of an issue! I need induced!

  • That's messed up they won't induce u. What blood disorder do u have? I have MTHFR and couldn't get a c section either. Thankfully he came vaginally :) I wad able to get an epi tho.
  • It's called "von willebrand disease". And yea. Their excuse is "only your doctor can schedule an induction". Then can I PLEASE talk to my doctor?! Every time I call to talk to him I get stuck talking to his nurses who can't schedule my induction either!
  • I'm sorry to hear all this is happening to you. All I can recommend is to have a lot of faith in God, I will be praying for you. Hopefully they can help you out so labor can be as smooth as possible and for the babys best interest.
  • Thank you :) I guess going to God with this would probably be best. I have a strong faith, until things start to get crazy. Then I tend to forget
