  • Try vinegar water in small bowls. For some reason that helps to get rid of them. When I bartended we had to use vinegar water because the sweet liquors attracted fruit flies.
  • People r so rude. Sorry they were mean on the other site. Have u tried soap water? If not try that. And I didn't know formula attracts fruit flies. Good to know.
  • Yep try cider vinegar in a small bowl. I read that you should add a drop of dish detergent, but I've seen it work for my mom without
  • The soap and water I know works :) %%-
  • Fruit flies seem to be really bad this year. We have been getting alot of them too, I was confused because we are clean people. Turns out the fresh flowers hubby was getting me was attracting them. I did a small bowl of apple cider vinaigar with two drops of dish soap in it and bag in Ziploc bags any diapers that are not brought out right away, even if they are in a diaper pail.

    Good luck!
  • I use a container with lemon wedges - just leave the lid open a crack so they can get in, then the lid gets closed and they're TRAPPED!
  • I tried vinegar and soap; u cut off the top of a 2 liter n tape it upside dwn, there supposed 2 b able to go in but not out...apparently we hav smart flies cus they wouldnt even go in to begin w, they would jus chill outside. Then my mom tried soap and vinegar in a bowl, tht didnt catch ne. Im gunna try the leom wedges and corn (i found out this morning they REALLY like corn!) N let ya'll kno how tht goes. I hope it works! [-O< Thanks everyone for ur advice! @1stwoodsbaby @pinkbaby0930 @alilboulding @darknesofnight4u @conreeaght @ourlittlenugget
