labor cake successful?

edited October 2011 in Third Trimester
I can't believe I'm still prego! Still having bad ass contractions and sick of being in pain. I thought for sure I would have this child early. He's already being stubborn as hell. The only conclusion I can come up with is that I'm trying to hard to make him come so I've stopped all the induction tricks, which don't wk anyway ;( I figured what would be the harm in eating some chocolate cake?

  • Ok, r we gonna be prego forever? I'm starting to not care if I have him on Halloween as long as I have him;)
  • I don't know why I'm still pregnant haha this is my third and I have two other kids I want to take our for Halloween. I just don't know what's going to happen. But if chocolate cake might help I will try it!
  • I was thinking about making some labor cake tomorrow :) after tonight I don't work until Wednesday so I'm going to try and induce myself allllllll weekend!
  • @pawgio Do you know if the cake has worked for anyone? I think I'm going to make mine tonight.
  • If anything its delicious! Just make sure u add pudding mix last otherwise it's hard to mix. I said f it and drank 4 oz of castor oil, we'll see what happens. .......
  • wouldn't hurt to try lol i love chocolate so i wanna make it one day. i don't think it would work tho haha
  • Thats alot of castor oil!!! I did 2-3 table spoons 3 times in one day and had bubs that night as soon as I needed the toilet the contractions started, 2 hours later she was out. I was still cleaning out my system a few hours after she was born lol
  • @tinka1326 Gosh I hope it works for me. I took it about 3 hrs ago and threw up twice but nothing else. How far along were u when u took it? I took 2 tsp. A week ago and it didn't do anything so I gave up. I just got totally desperate and miserable. I just want him out:(
  • My hubby made it for my birthday on accident. at the the time I was 6mths pregnant..... No baby. he made me another one today just because the cake is soooooo dang tasty
  • Ya its very good doesn't even need frosting
  • What's this about chocolate cake? I'm due in 2 weeks but this baby is huge and I don't see how I can go another 2 weeks. I've tried pressure points and try to jump my hubby when I can lol but I'm only half cm dilated boo. I fricking love chocolate so do you have a recipe to share?
  • I gave up trying too. Nothing worked. C section scheduled for Monday
  • Ya I agree with sands, nothing works, they come when they're ready. Its a box of devil's food cake. Just follow the directions and when you're done mixing it add a package of instant chocolate pudding a cup of sour cream and 12 oz bag Choc chips. U need to cook it for 20 more min give or take til toothpick comes out clean
  • I don't know anything about it... but now I'm craving chocolate cake. Lol

  • Well I went 5 days overdue when I had my son lol and he is an incredibly stubborn child, I hate to think my daughter could be worse lol
  • Lucky me I already have 3 boys that r stubborn!
  • Awww anything happen after the vomiting? I have my fingers crossed for you. After the last lot of oil I took a really warm bath, its supposed ti help the oil work or something... My contractions started an hour after getting out of the tub....
  • Ya u name I've done it. I took a bath last night. Went on a 2 mile walk 4 times this week, sex, nipple stimulation ( which hurts:( evening primrose, Acupressure, bouncing on exercise ball, squats. I'm exhausted and starting to get pretty discouraged. I thought this being my 4th I would've had him by now:(
