My baby boy is 3 weeks old I wish I could give him a bath everyday cause I'm a clean freak but I know they can catch cold easily if bathed to often at this age but how often do you ladies think I should bathe him?

  • They say 2-3 times a week
  • I give my son one every three nights. If he has a bad day or night of spitting up then I just take a wet cloth to him, around the neck and shoulders.
  • My baby is 3wks I wash her off everyday but dr say about 3times a wk. If your house warm & u not taking him out right after I think he will be fine if bathed everyday!
  • I bathed my daughter every night since she was born cuz I'm a clean freaktoo (atleast when it comes to hygeine lol)(the house is another story)

I bathe my daughter daily if your worried about colds just make sure you make the room warm and don't take them out soon after they get out because their pores are open
  • Every other day untill cord comes off then when u want
  • I bathed my newborn every other day. They don't do anything to get dirty. I would get a warm cloth and wipe his face and hands every day. I always washed their hair last so they wouldn't be cold;)
  • Unless he is having vomiting issues or something try only every other night or so, not necessary because of the fact that they can catch a cold but because their skin is sensitive and can get dried out if bathed too often. My kids pediatrician told me that it is one of the biggest mistakes that first time parent make because it can lead to excessive dryness (even if lotion is used) and can end up causing rashes and irritation.
  • As soon as my daughters cord n such fell off I give her a bath every night to every other night it helps her sleep n her doc said it was fine.
  • Until my son was 2 1/2 months, we did 2-3 baths a week. But at 3 months I wanted to have some what of a schedule started, so at 2 1/2 months we started every other night baths and now at 3 months we do every night. He knows bath time = bed time now. However, if he crashes before bath time I don't stress over it.
