strep b test posotive

Has anyone else's test came back positive? And its like a genetic thing that my mom passed down to me...?

    Yes a lot of women have it and no its just a bacteria, not harmful to us at all but if passed to baby during delivery it can be harmful but no need to worry, they jus have to give u antibiotics(iv) during delivery

    I had it with my 2nd baby. All they did to us was watch us for a full 48hrs. No antibiotics or anthing. :)

    Yeah I was positive too. I got 2 bags of penicillian in my iv before my daughter was born.

    I was positive for my first pregnancy, negative for the second. Like the others said its a bacteria but nothing to be concerned about

    They did a test on me last week and im positive.. But like everyone said its going to be ok.

    The antibiotics won't effect my son? I'm doing and all natural water birth so I'm very against medicine that will effect him if its not nessasiary

    No the antibiotics will not effect your son. But you still have to be on the antibiotics even you are doing the water birth. If you dont do the antibiotics your son can get sick.

    They tested me after i had my daughter n it came back positive so they gav me and her a shot n tht was it.
