My daughter is 11 days old , & her skin keeps peeling ! I put lotion on her and everything but she is always peeling on her hands , legs , tummy by her diaper , & her feet and ankles ! Why is this happening ?
My daughters pediatrician said it would get better onces she starts taking real baths, cause she was also peeling, and it did get better. She was getting sponge baths at the time. Now she's 1month and gets real baths. But at the time no matter how much lotion i used she peeled and flaked.
@Steph_Due_101611 my daughter had her 2nd real bath today . Her umbilical stump fell off when she was 5 days old . But her skin won't get better for awhile right ?
Its completely normal, it is because they have been in water for so long in our tummies. My doctor said to just leave it alone, NO lotion...that is what I did and it went away in about week.
