food stamps ???

heyy I was thinking of gettn food stamps today with my bf.. but debating if I should..we could really use em n it would help us alot!!! but I don't know.. for example:on job applications they always ask if u have food stamps .. why doesit matter?? will this affect me in any way?? good or bad? help!!

    They ask that bc the employer receives something I think money for employing someone on state aid.

    I don't know why it matters but it shouldn't affect u getting a job...they ask about foodstamps on financial aid applications too. Get you some foodstamps if you need them it won't hurt anything. I know plenty of people working who receive foodstamps!!
