Hey @KerrideeRN and @grissy_barria i do production laundry for a food company. Me and my husband both work nights together it sucks but he is a supervisor. I take like special k bars and fruit cups because its a pain in my but to bring actual fruit and veggies to work. Do you girls cook before work or eat out every night?
its hard for me to cook at home i usually work a 430-1230 shift so when i get home i sleep and wake up at 7 to take my 7 year old to school by the time i drop her off i usually go get breakfast somewhere and go back to sleep till 2 then i eat a snack then pick up my sunshine by 345 so it sucks i never get to cook i usually just take oranges and chips or crackers to work to munch on and occasionally buy more snacks at work
@kerrideern I work 7:30-7:30 3 days a week too so I feel your pain. I actually love my shift but during my first trimester it was so hard because I was so tired all the time.
I work 3pm-2am..I bring...apple+oraange+drink lots of water to reduce back pain and all pain in the body while @ work...my firstbreak is @ 6pm (10mins) ill eat...apple or orange or veggie salad....and water...2nd break 9pm (30mins)...ill eat shrimp wat my sister or mom cooked for me..3rdbreak 12am(10mins)...ill eat yogurt or grapes...:) I'm on my 7th week on monday
I work 12 hour night shifts as a nurse. I bring PB&J sandwichs, bananas, yogurt. We have milk and juice at work so I eat alot of cereal. Sometimes we order out pizza or someone go and gets fast food. Not always good but I do take out 30 minutes of my night to power walk around the hospital. I've gained pounds and im 22 weeks.
My husband trys to cook sometimes before work. But we usually end up eatting wawa or chinese food i dont know how much weight ive gained but im really tired of fast food! I eat oatmeal at work and i eat special k bars and lots of grape tomatoes! We start work at 5pm and we dont leave until like 2 or 3 am 6days a week ugh i hate my job i feel like i dont have a life. Its probably going to be really hard to find a babysitter with the way we work, ive never heard of night shift daycare...it would make life easier if that existed!
