dry flaky skin that's peeling

My baby has dry flaky skin on his forehead that's peeling. It looks as if he had dandruff on his forehead. I've been putting olive oil on it which helps for a while but then it gets all flaky again. What is it? And what can I put on it?

    Sounds like cradle cap. My niece and nephew had it bad. They make some kind of lotion and wash for it u can get at Walmart. Also during bath times take one of those soft baby brushes and rub gently on the area kind of like an exfoiliator. And put baby oil or lotion on it.

    Does it take a while for cradle cap to go away? He's supposed to take Xmas pics this week:(

    I just saw this...Zorian had it really badly for like 1-2 weeks. It was only on the skin surrounding his eyes brows. We would gently peel the skin away and it would be the same way a day later. I told the doctor and she said it was something that started with "sub" and it was a long ass name. She said it would go away on its own but that I could put baby oil on it or selsun blue...YES SELSUN BLUE! She's nuts if she thinks I'm gonna put that on my babies skin...so I put baby oil and within 2 days or so it was gone! ...that is the same reason why I hadn't scheduled X-mas pics yet.

    @excitedforoctober- lol @ selsun blue...well I'm glad Zorian's went away... guess Julian will have to wear hats on his pics..lol

    @excitedforoctober nyla have those dry skin on her eye brows too I rub it off n the next day there it goes again. @juliansmommy I dont think any cream would really help. I think itll go away on its own

    @MrsThompson34 try putting baby oil on twice a day, it should clear up within a few days :)

    @mrsthompson34- His pediatrician said to try aquaphor. I just feel bad because not only does it look ugly his forehead feels really rough like sandpaper:( but she said he can't feel anything.

    awe I hope it clears up a lil by the time he takes his pictures. Aquaphor is good, hubby use it when he gets tattoos it does help heal the skin.

    Nyla has been doing alot better thanks to u :) shes been naping alot which is good she needs her rest right now. Does baby Julian still have his cold?

    I bought some Toms shoes online today from Nordstrom & victoria secret panties lol n a hoodie the pink brand. Did u end up buying anything today?

    That's good I'm glad she's better:) it's amazing how that stuff really works. Julian slept better too when I put it on him. No, thank god his cold went away soon. I'm the one that's still sick. Crap did victoria's secret have a sale too? I need panties & bras...lol Yeah I got Julian 6 outfits:) then I got me some bcbg shoes, jeans, and some loose tops to hide my kangaroo pouch.lol

    Lol I have a kangaroo pouch too omg. N the stretch marks aint helpin. Ill never look like a victoria secret model now haha but yes victoria secret had a double up sale on bras. Buy one get one 50% off n if u spend 25 its free shipping. Awe, 6 outfits thats good. Hope u had a good deal & u got some great stuff for urself :) & u need to get well soon bc u dont want julian getting sick again.
