Baby is sick again :(

And its my fault...yesterday I got what I THOUGHT were my allergies. My eyes were watering and I had a runny nose, I always get horrible allergies and we had brought down the Christmas tree from the attic and that is when my symptoms started acting up so I attributed them from the dust from the tree starting up my allergies...WRONG! Later in the evening my cold went from a 0 to 10. My mom offered to sleep with the baby so I could take Theraflu and try to sleep it off and so I wouldn't risk giving it to the baby...

Well when I woke up he was already really congested. I don't know what to do :-( I used the saline drops to try to clear his nose, I have the vaporizer on in the bedroom. He is not eating his usual amount since he cannot breathe through his little nose. I called his pedi and she said to do what I was already doing and to bring him in in it gets worse...How do you know when you should take him in? Of course if he has a fever but what else should I look out for? Maybe I sound like an idiot asking these questions but I am a FTM...

    Hope hes better..when in doubt dont hesitate just take baby to er..any little thing I would take baby just to make sure

    Aww no...my Julian woke up a bit congested too we've been sick since Fri...well my hubby & Julian got over it quick but not me...and I had a feeling I was going to give it back to him:( he was coughing a bit this morning too...I rubbed vicks baby rub on his chest again and he hasn't coughed since...I need to go buy a vaporizer too...well if he continues not eating I'd say take him in...I hope he feels better soon...

    Aww my baby was sick also doc said to bring him back if he had fever or stop eating if he grabs at his ear take him he could have n ear infection when I took my baby they said his chest n ears were clear his nose was just stuffy n to just do wat u are doing n eventually it passed try feeding after u suck him out and sit him up usually it will drain n he can breath a lil better to eat if my baby was still stuffy when trying to eat I just kept taking bottle out let him breath then continue feeding kept doing that until he finished but my little man greedy he was not going to miss a meal regardless lol....

    If baby gets a fever or has fewer than 6-8 wet diapers in 24hrs take baby in. That's always been the guideline i was given.

    @JuliansMommy IThank you, I called back because it sounded like he is having more trouble breathing, so I'm taking him in in 2 hours. I feel guilty that I can take my meds to make me feel better but I can't give him anything to make him feel better :-(

    Aww my lil one caught my cold too, she wakes up screaming cuz she can't breathe, her dr gave her saline drops & I pump her nose, it helps. I hope he feel better soon!

    @excitedforoctober & @juliansmommy Nylas doctor said she has a very bad cold thats been goin around. She said dont give her no meds just give her the saline drops in each nose to help her breathe. Then next week she gets her two months shots... 3 shots awe ima cry :'(

    Awww poor Nyla...good thing you took her in..how do you know if your lo has a sore throat? Julian isn't too bad yet he's eating normal he just sounds a bit congested and he hasn't coughed again...so I'm hoping it'll go away soon if not I'll have to take him in as well. He gets his 2 month shots next Mon:(

    @juliansmommy ohh she doesnt have a sore throat. Shes coughing n sneezing alot more :( I had to laugh at nyla when we were at her appt everytime she sneezed she farted lol I hope all our babies get well soon. I love christmas but hate the weather. Awe I dont want them to cry when they get their shots

    @JuliansMommy @MrsThompson34 Zorian's doc said the same as Nyla's. I realy hope all our babies get better soon and the next time we have babies we should have em in the summer so they dont have to suffer through nasty colds when they r so little :(

    Lol she was farting really loud like 3 times haha and shes 12lbs now & 23inches

    I agree, I hope they all get better soon. I called my hubby and asked if he could pick up a humidifier when he get off. Do the saline drops help w congestion? Yes, next baby will be a Summer baby!! Lol How cold is it right now where you live @excitedforoctober? I'm not looking forward to him getting his shots:( I hope the dr lets me give him something to prevent fever after his shots. I don't know if I can handle him getting a fever. Looks like we'll be staying home for xmas I'm not risking it.

    @mrsthompson34- my little chunksters weighed 12 lbs 8 oz at 6 weeks...how much is Nyla eating and how often? I'm wondering if Julian is eating too much...lol

    @juliansmommy omg lol julian is a lil butterball turkey :) 12lbs & 8oz at 6 weeks whoa mama... Nyla is 12lbs today & shes 9 weeks. She eats 2.5 every to 2 to 4 hrs. She doesnt eat much. She rather sucks on her passy & now that shes sick she really doesnt wana eat. She hits the bottle out of her mouth lol

    @mrsthompson34- awww how freakn cute!! He's eating 3 oz sometimes 4 oz every 2-3 hours...lol he hates the paci but I'm going to keep trying it. Haha when Julian is full he hits the bottle too...lol

    Lol these babies they have their lil nerves. Seriously who taught them how to slap their bottles out their mouth :) baby julian gona have a belly like santa lol jk but boys always eats more than girls. Hes still a cutie ;) Nyla is in luv with her paci she will wine & wine til I give it to her @juliansmommy

    @JuliansMommy @MrsThompson34 Sorry ladies! Zorian and I hit the bed once we got home from the doctors! Lol. His congestion seems to be better than this morning, thank God. My little monkey is 6 weeks and 11lbs 3oz :) He eats more than Julian! He eats 4 oz...sometimes 5! every 2-3 hours. @JuliansMommy Its been about 30-40 degrees here during the day, which is not bad at all for December but heard its gonna be a BAD winter especially lots of snow :-( Last year I got stranded inside my house for 2 whole days because the snow was up to our stomachs including the streets and they say this winter will not be better, omg I'm dreading it :-S How cold is it where you live? I know they say Northern Cali is cooler than Southern right?

    aww lil chunky monkey tambien:) my julian is ok on the eating then...I'm glad he's doing better, omg girl how the heck do you manage to go out in the winter? Lol They do say N Cali is cooler, right now it's about high 50's during the day & high 30's at night. Do you drive in snow? I annot even imagine being stuck in my house for 2 days. I guess you prob get used to it huh. I told you to move to Cali.lol

    Yeah I'm used to it but its still scary, especially driving! I can't count how many times my car ended up on the opposite side of the road or sideways or drove into a curb or can't stop at a red light! When its snowing really bad my drive home from work that is usually 25 min turns into an hour and a half! Ugh it sucks so bad! My bf and I always said we want to move to Cali but it would be so hard to leave all our family over here :-( Although I do have alot of family in Cali...maybe one day!

    Wow that's so scary I get scared driving here when its rainy. Where in Cali do you have fam? I know it would be hard for me to leave my fam as well. Well at least Zorian gets to build snowman's out there. I always wanted to do that when I was small..lol

    @JuliansMommy The places I usually stay with family is Norwalk (I stay there the most), Anaheim, Azusa or Perris. I just love Cali, I don't know what it is about it!...believe it or not I never built a snowman lol but I have made my fair share of snow angels :p Lmao, I just remembered last year in the snow storm that Zoey was still a puppy she got lost in the snow, she literally got sunken in. Poor thing, I almost had a heart attack!

    Lol @ Zoey pobrecita! wow u got fam everywhere in S Cali lol that's good at least you have different options when you come visit. Hey did Zorian's dr say about how long the cold would last? How's he doing today? And the only thing you can give hin is the saline drops? Julian is a bit worse than yesterday, he's a bit more congested and his dry cough turned into a wet cough. I really hate myself for getting him sick:(
