How much does the first Dr appointment usually coast?
With out insurance?
And for those with blue cross blue shild, how much?

    Apply for medicaid. I applied and had my coverage in a week. You can find a doctor that accepts medicaid and you don't have to pay anything. I got a job and now have blue cross. My doc doesn't take medicaid so the blue cross covers the doc visits.

    I'm not sure it depends on the Dr. I have blue cross blue shield & before I got my medical card I was going to have to make 4 separate payments of $350 that's just to see the Dr not counting hospital anesthesiologist, I have to have another c section or ultrasounds.

    I work for a hospital and have BCBS PPO and all my dr visits wil cost me a grand total of $20, not each time, just once.
    Without insurance three total would be around $9,000 for all the visits, idk what it would be for just one.

    It should be yes, mine might be a little different simply cause I do work for a hospital and I'm going to a dr that is part of the hospitals direct network.
    They also said I'll only have to pay 10% of my hospital charges.

    I just applied for medicaid and if approved u get a sheet u can use until your card comes in the mail. U can apply at the department of human services or the health dept in your county. Also u should apply for WIC where u get coupons for milk,bread,fruit,juice etc while your preggo.

    Ok thanks I have been just waiting till my first appointment, at the health department, so will they let me apply for the card before the appointment
