My pregnant wife

edited March 2011 in Pregnant
She says everything I do annoys her, I try my best to leave her alone, and give her space. I watch tv with closed capation on, so the sound doesn't bother her, I dont sit in, the same room with her, I dont talk to, her unless she speaks first, I dont ignore her when she hungry I cook, I clean, I take our son to days care, I do everything to make her life easier and stress free. I basically keep to myself and she still spazes out on me. What should I do? Cause I am getting tired of this!

  • I honestly don't blame you, its one thing to be hormonal. But this sounds a bit extreme. Have you tried talking to her? You shouldn't feel that way in your own home, I'd just tell her your doing everything you can to help her, you don't even watch tv with sound bc your trying to avoid conflict. What does she expect you to do? I think she needs to work on control, I doubt she's like that to your son, and with how much your doing for her, you surely don't deserve it. Good luck :)
  • It sounds to me like you need to have a heart to heart conversation with her. If she doesnt wanna talk start of your conversation with something she likes to talk about and explain to her whats going on. Ask her what makes her comfortable but also tell her you need to be comfortable too. Yeah sometimes as a pregnant woman we can be moody, but I think once she knows whats going on she will appreciate you more and hopefully that makes things easier for you.
  • Wow sounds like she is taking things to far. Tell her that she is making it hard for you and she has to let off a bit...
  • Seems like your in prison lol. You just have to let her know how you feel and take it from there.
  • I'm sorry to hear. How far along is she? Is she having any complications? Does she use a social networking site (Facebook, MySpace, Twiiter)? Maybe writing her a message, or even sending her an email might help.
  • Right now its very intense, I tell myself its the hormones. We do talk about it, but it seems like she is possessed, maybe I need to have an exorcism preformed!
  • No complications, she is 10 weeks. Would it be wrong to act like her? I miss being a kid sometimes.
  • Acting like her might make matters worse... Is this her first pregnancy?
  • Wow, she got a good man. Talk to her about how you really feel don't hold back. Good luck
  • No its not her (our) second pregnancy
  • I am going tell her everything today, but what if she starts crying and saying im being mean to her
  • U do a hell alot more than mine does. She needs to appreciate that she has a good man welling to do the stuff u do. Most men dont do half the stuff ur doing. I think she is taking it to far to be honest.. If she cant calm down and work with u on it than stop doing some of the stuff u do and see how she likes it then, maybe she'll start appreciating u more.

  • Hmm? So I don't understand why she's so moody and annoyed with everything you do, since this is the 2nd pregnancy .Let her know from the beginning you are not being mean you are getting her up to date on how your feeling too.. this pregnancy is not all about how she feels, you have feelings too. Kudos to you for being a good man and trying to do the best you can for her.
  • I zoned out my bf at the beginning of my pregnancy. I was tired, hormonal & very lost. Unfortunately I took it out on him. He sat me down, told me how he was feeling from my behavior (I felt like a cow) & since then I've been working really hard at making sure he knows I care.
Being pregnant isn't easy, but its not an excuse either.

start crying. just burst into tears in front of her. women love when men get emotional.
  • We talked and she surprised me, sayings she knows things have been intense around the house and that she has gone over board but promised she will act better
  • Good for you. Stay strong!! be there for her, keep helping her, but dont let her walk all over you!! Your a good guy. glad she see's that. good luck with the next 7mo!!
