Value of a Dollar
When you look at a dollar, what do you see?
100 pennies?
20 nickels?
10 dimes?
4 quarters?
Look deeper.
Some people a dollar may mean they can eat tonight. It might mean somebodys child wont go to bed hungry. People that know me think im crazy when i give strangers a dollar. But a dollar can make a difference.
I've been in situations where i only wished i had a dollar. Where I've gone days without eating to make sure my son ate.
BD grew up wealthy. He doesn't know how it feels to be starving. He lived in a big house in a rich neighborhood.
I grew up poor. I lived in a trailer with no electricity. I've moved more times than i can count. We didn't have money and had to rely on food stamps and food banks.
BD doesn't understand what $1 can mean to somebody. It can mean alot.
On Christmas eve i lost $29 in Walmart. Not once did i complain. I just hope somebody that needed it found it.
