@Fate I had TERRIBLE hives about a month ago. I couldn't sleep because they were so itchy/painful. Turned out it was Downey. They added scent pearls that really seemed to irritate my skin. I have always used Downey, so that wasn't initially a thought...anyway, took over a week to clear up. Hope the doc figures it out. I used hydrocortizone on it tons and it helped a lot with itching/misery. Oh, and I had to re-wash all of the laundry with just a small amount of detergent. Hope that helps you some.
  • @RTMommy The doctor has her on steroids and a prescription of stronger benadryl. She takes two oatmeal baths, and uses anti-itch Aveeno lotion. Nothing is helping!
  • Did they give u any cream for the itching? Or jus try the calamin(sp) lotion it works wonders
  • Hydrocordizone cream works great
  • Aveeno has calamine in it. @Mrz_Jackson2anpreggo I am out of options. :(
  • Mmmm .. Wat about the gold bond medicated stuff think they came out wit sumthn for itching ? I'm sittn here tryna think of all kinds of stuff ! Hydrocordizone cream is over the counter I wuld def try that my Dr gave us sum for exzema it works good
  • @Mrz_Jackson2anpreggo I tried everything. She's miserable. I did not try Gold Bond, I have a six month old and the smell from that stuff might irritate her. My five year old plays with her a lot.
  • My Dr now gives triamcinolone cream cuz my daughter has severe exzema an it clears her up its awesome my hubby is one it for severe exzema to I wuld ask the Dr for a cream cuz the Hydrocordizone prolly isn't strong enuff for her it wasnt after my daughters exzema got bad
  • Its contagious, so I will wait until he tests both my 5 and 4 year old. That way we can get adefinite treatment.
  • @fate there is a virus going around my sons school that starts with a rash and is contagious. The kids are having headaches and belly aches and sometimes fevers. Hope your little ones feel better soon!
  • @AwesomeJen When do headaches and belly aches start? :(
