  • I would say use caution if it feels wrong don't do it but try to talk to a doc to know for sure
  • As long as u don't strain when u do it it should be ok.
  • I know a lot of females that worked as a CNA. And they were fine
But I was pregnant while I was working as a CNA and had a miscarriage. So be carefully. I'm pretty sure you'll get lots of help on the job with the lifting and all, just be carefully and good luck.
  • As long as you listen to your body you will be fine. I lift my son all day everyday and he's just over 20 lbs. Does that count?? Lol
  • With my 1st pregnancy i was working as a CNA. 15 lbs is more than fine. Keep your back straight! Lift with your knees!
  • Ok thanks my baby n healthy n all just dnt wana hurt myself now dat im halfway der.
  • I'm a floor nurse at a hospital. My OB says to try to limit myself to lifting 25 lbs. I've told everyone I wrk w/ that I'm preggo and they pretty much exclude me from any lifting.
  • My doctor put me on a 25lb limit with my first, but now with my 2nd they've said nothing heavier than my toddler (who is 32lbs)... I think 15lbs is perfectly fine as long as your pregnancy is progressing normally. :)
  • My doctor told me no more then 25lbs when I saw them last month. Although when I told my work they didn't seem to care, told me to get my work done anyways. I have to go back to my doctor to get a doctors note that says that or they require me to life fourty lbs everyday :(
  • Wow... my doctor told me no more than 50 lbs.... does that seem high?
  • My pregnancy goin good shes big n healthy n everything seem fine. So I guess I could.
  • @luvmyboos if that is what your doctor told you then it may be ok for you. Or atleast that is what I assume
  • My OB tends towards the conservative side. She also told me no more than 1 coke or 1 tea or 1 coffee each day--that is super conservative! So maybe she's conservative about lifting too.

Your doc is always the best person to check w/ since they know your history.

I use 2 work as a special ed assistant I use 2 have 2 lift this girl who was n a wheel chair 2 change her diaper. She had 2 b between 75-85 pounds. We always had 2 people lift her. I never had a problem with doing it. I was 3 or 4 months when I started. I did it up until 3 months after I had my son. But with this baby I helped my bf lift a tv and it didnt feel right dont push urself 2 hard if it doesnt feel right 2 u dont do it.
  • Ok thanks mommas.
  • I'm also a CNA, I work at a hospital, it's not so much that I have to lift anyone it's the pulling them up in bed thats hard, everyone is really helpful so far though, no one really lets me pull anymore lol
  • Yeah I know ima b ok lol
