Babies n hospitals?

edited January 2012 in Babies Health
My grandmother just had surgery n is asking to see my daughter. I really want to see her n I want to take Kayden to see her too but idk if it's okay to take babies inside the hospital b/c of all the germs. What do u all think? BTW Kay is 2.5 months.

  • They won't let her in.
  • My mom told me she saw a baby in the hospital when she went so she thinks it will be ok @BentleysMommy716
  • They only let infants and children in if they're being seen or on the l&d floor too see a new sibling. They usually wont for any other reasons and even if they did, I wouldn't. Too many germs for an infant that young.
  • I was thinking it would be too many germs as well @bentleysmommy716
  • Especially since alot of babies are getting rsv. I wouldn't chance it.
  • Back in August, my daughter went and saw my mom at the hospital. Also, when I had surgery, they let my daughter at the hospital. I guess it depends on the hospital?? Anyways, I figure it's fine, my daughter was only 3 months old and never got sick.
  • I think your lo will be ok. Your grandmother went in for surgery right.. Not cause she sick, what would be the difference if you took your lo to wal mart. imo :)
  • Sick people go to the hospital not walmart o_0 haha.
  • I've gone to Walmart sick...:/
  • I get what she's saying, but it's precautionary. You're taking a higher chance at getting sick, being in a hospital, especially a 2 month old whose immune system isn't fully developed.
